A Practical Masterclass Series preparing Singapore TV Projects for Markets

AIPRO is inviting applications for the first two TV masterclasses in 2026:

  • Original IP (Story to Market)
    • Group Masterclass: 24 August 2026, 7 – 9pm
    • 2x (1hr) 1-1 Session: 25 August – 9 October 2026 
  • Pitching (The Pitch Room)
    • Group Masterclass: 7 Sep 2026, 7 – 9pm
    • 2x (1hr) 1-1 Session: 8 September – 9 October 2026

Each masterclass is designed for selected production companies and project teams looking to sharpen their materials for international-facing markets and commissioners. The programme will be delivered through a shared group session, followed by two rounds of one-to-one mentor reviews.

Meet the Mentor for Original IP (Story to Market)
Fiona Lamptey Fiona Lamptey is a BAFTA-winning producer with over 20 years of experience across Netflix, Film4, Channel 4, and her own company, Fruit Tree Media. She previously served as Director of UK Film at Netflix, where her work included titles such as The Wonder, I Came By, The Kitchen, Scoop, and The After. Earlier in her career, she spent nine years at Film4, where her slate included Four Lions, Attack the Block, and the pilot for The End of the F**ing World. Fiona now leads Fruit Tree Media, where she continues to champion distinctive voices and authentic storytelling.
Meet the Mentors for Pitching (The Pitch Room)
Agathe Berman Agathe Berman is a pitch expert, producer, writer, teacher and artistic consultant whose pitching work spans series, feature films, documentaries, animation and shorts. She has trained, curated and moderated pitching sessions and labs across major international platforms and industry forums, and has worked as a producer on over sixty films.
Ludo Smolski Ludo Smolski is a London-based development consultant and story editor working across feature, documentary and TV drama. He has worked on a wide range of independent screen projects and previously spent over a decade at The Script Factory, where he helped design and deliver training for writers, developers and script readers. He also served for many years as co-tutor of the NFTS Postgraduate Diploma in Script Development.

Eligibility Criteria

 

Who should apply for the TV Masterclass?

  • You have a scripted TV project in development.
  • You are ready to sharpen your materials for upcoming markets such as MIPCOM 2026.
  • You are looking toward markets, commissioners, or international-facing conversations.
  • Your team includes a Singapore Citizen/PR Creative Producer, preferably with more than 5 years of experience as a producer and/or credited on long-form commercial projects.
  • You are prepared to commit to the full session schedule if selected.

Applicant’s submission should include the following details:

  • Logline (one sentence summary)
  • Genre and target audience
  • A short write-up (up to 120 words) to reflect the main characters, e.g. protagonists, antagonists.
  • Synopsis of not more than 400 words (approx. half a page)
    • Represent the central idea of the story
    • Provide a strong sense of the story arc and structure, including the major twists and climax.

Each project may have a maximum of three team members, and selection will be prioritised for those submitting projects for both the Original IP and Pitching masterclasses and for projects slated to be pitched at MIPCOM. Given the limited slots, all submissions will undergo a selection process.
